Our Story          

 

In 2015, the Salty Pelican was born in Cascais, Portugal, driven by the energy of three friends with diverse backgrounds. Gareth, an Australian adventurer, met Monika in Austria, and together they explored 25 countries, sharing a passion for the ocean and mountains. Along the way, they connected with Tiago, a local surfer from Nazare, and a shared vision took shape. What began as a surf trip to Portugal transformed into a dream — creating a place that blended yoga, surfing, and connection. Today, Salty Pelican thrives with four locations across Portugal and Sri Lanka, delivering unique, unforgettable experiences.
